Addressing a shortage of childcare places in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs, the concept for this Kingsville Childcare made most of a corner development site with stacked and overlapping curved building levels. The sweeping facades created shaded overhangs and a playful identity for the centre.

A glazed circular courtyard in the centre of the building linked many of the childcare rooms both to a further outdoor space and to each other. The green colour scheme vibrantly ties together both the internal areas through the floor finishes and joinery and externally through feature building elements and planted vegetation.
